Sixty OC students were bussed to picturesque Tamarama Beach last Thursday in magnificent Sydney weather to participate in a sculpture workshop and walk along the coastal path viewing the seventeenth annual exhibition of Sculpture by the Sea.
We were fortunate to be guided by the Artist Marina DeBris who first described the inspiration and process of the sculpture she was exhibiting ‘'Aquarium of the Pacific Gyre'''. The students; using trash washed up from the sea, designed and made their own sea trash creatures
With the Sculpture by the Sea Kid's Guide in hand, the students traipsed along the coast walk from Tamarama Beach, past Mackenzie's Bay to Mark's Park where they were free to roam around viewing and discussing the additional fifty sculptures exhibited.
